Hello, I am Janet the owner of Precious Reflections. I have been a funeral celebrant since 2016, I trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and am a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants.

I am one of the Leadership team of my church. I run a support group for those living with dementia and their carers. I am also the chaplain at nursing home for those living with dementia.

When my husband died in 2016 I realised how important a ‘good’ funeral is. Not only for those who are left behind to say their goodbyes but to honour their loved one and tell others who they were. That is done through the music, poems, and readings they liked but also reflecting on their memories of a life.

I love helping families do the last thing they can for their loved one. So, they feel they have said goodbye in a way that represents them. Although the passing of a loved one is sad I hope through working with you we can celebrate their life acknowledging what they meant to you and others. This can be a full religious service or a totally non-religious service or a combination of the two.

I will sit with you and take as long as it takes to write the service that you wish. All my services start with a blank page and end with a celebration of life re calling happy memories of lives spent together. I will source poems or will get a poem especially written for you.

I will always try to include any wishes you may have.  I am very happy for members of the family or friends to be part of the service. I will also if required take a short service for you in you want to scatter or inter the ashes at a later date. Please contact me to discuss your needs.
