Hello
I am Janet the owner of Precious Reflections. I have been a celebrant since 2016, I trained with the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants and am a member of the Fellowship of Professional Celebrants.

One question I am often asked is what is a celebrant? The answer is “someone who officiates at life ceremonies”. Also, it is looked upon as a non-religious ceremony. However, I am more than happy to include any religious prayers, readings, or blessings if you would like. I am one of the Leadership team of my church.

The most important thing is to give people the freedom to celebrate life events in the way they want to.
As a celebrant I do not have any formal words I have to say. There are no elements that have to be included in your ceremony. “Every Ceremony Starts with a Blank page”
I will sit with you and take as long as it takes to write the service that you wish. All my services start with a blank page and end with a celebration of life re calling happy memories of lives spent together. I will source poems or will get a poem especially written for you.

I will always try to include any wishes you may have. I am very happy for members of the family or friends to be part of the service. I will also if required take a short service for you in you want to scatter or inter the ashes at a later date. Please contact me to discuss your needs.

In addition to my work as a celebrant, I run a support group for those living with dementia and their carers. I am also the chaplain at nursing home for those living with dementia.
